Dirt Disciple
Hi Folks,

I'm selling my 2012 Genesis Fortitude Adventure. It has fixed forks with no suspension but a forgiving Reynolds 725 chrome-moly frame that makes it a delight to ride and gives it a "retro" feel.
It's in good working order and well looked after.

Specs -

19"
Reynolds 725
11speed Shimano Alfine Hub
Avid BB7 disc brakes
Truvativ chainset and bottom bracket
Thomson stem
currently has Cube bars (but could find Genesis originals)
Pedals swapped out for flats but porbably have SPD's somewhere.
It's covered in lugs and fixings and has a Topeak Explorer 29er (Disc) rear rack
so it's a terrific bike packing workhorse (also have a Salsa Everything cage somewhere).
(more photos available if needed)

Was £600 now £450 ono

Collection from Bristol.

Re:

19"?
I think you mean about 14", right? (from center of BB to center of intersection of top tube and seat tube)

Very interested in the 11-speed hub if you decide to split.

I can see why you're saying that because it does look small, but wouldn't 29" wheels give the impression that it's a bit smaller than it actually is?

Re: Genesis Fortiude Adventure 19" For Sale

Hiya, it is 19” (see pic 1) maybe looks on small side because it’s a 29er? Top tube is longish too - 61cm.
It’s a really love geometry to ride and the biggish tyres while not fat bike territory can be inflated so as to give a bit of cushioning.

I’m really looking to just shift the bike rather than get intro selling bits. I’m pretty new to the whole online selling experience.

Yep, that explains it. Sometimes I'm guilty of looking at the pictures and ignoring the text; a habit I no doubt picked up in my younger days while "reading" ;) Playboy magazine.

29ers are a relatively recent phenomenon when compared to the whole of the MTB world, and now that I acually take the time to look at the text, I see it's a 2012 model so I think the moderators will want to move this to the "eBay & Marketplace Watch 1998" section, which should probably be labeled "eBay & Marketplace Watch 1998 AND LATER" for clarity (not complaining though. I like it here and I want to stay)

Re:

Okay. Thanks for the clarification re: appropriate forums. I’m happy for it to be moved or removed if that’s what’s best.

Hi Stuart - is this still for sale & would you consider posting?
Hi Mark, I'm back from a week away now. The bike is still available if you're still interested.
In terms of posting I guess a courier would be the best option but I have no bike box or bag and don't know how well handled the bike would be. Does anyone have any advice regarding shipping?
