Ok guys, I’ve got a new build I am working on so something has to go to raise some cash.

This bike is by far one of my favorite bikes, but it is just to small for me to really enjoy.

1991 or 92 Klein Attitude Mission Control 1.

I bought it from a well known gentleman who is a member here (name withheld for privacy) that had it repainted roughly 10 years ago by John at Klein’s painted in the UK.

Original death grip tires plus one extra in really good condition.
XTR build
Lightest bike I’ve ever owned.
Stem 135 with about a 5 degree bend.
Handlebars have the pro extension.
Hugi hubs (loud) with sun rims
Couple nicks in the handle bars about the size of nail head and a small one on the top tube. I will take some pics.

Freaking awesome bike in probably the hardest to find color. It is in perfect mechanical condition and really doesn’t need anything. It has been ridden a bit as all bikes should be.

I am going to ask $4k for it plus shipping, but will consider reasonable offers. I will ship it anywhere bikeflights will send it. I will put it up here for a bit before I put on fleabay.

Price drop to $3,500US plus shipping

If you are reading this you probably already know your Klein history, but here is the best webpage on their history.

Gorgeous bike, GLWS. if you decide to split it I'd be interested in the seatpost.

Good taste you have as well! At this point intent is not split, but I will keep it in mind.

Hallo

You should notice that this the frame does not match to the paintjob.
This is a frame with 27.2 seatpost and 42mm downtube, a 1991 or 1992 frame.
The 1993 model has a 48mm downtube and a 31.6 seatpost.
This makes the difference for a collectors item.
And this will never get a collectors item.
Sorry to say this, but i collectef KLEIN for 20 years.
Thanks

This is an early 93 if I recall. I will get the serial number when I get home.

Here is a quote from oldklein.com explaining the seat tube variation in 93. I had the same thought when I bought it.

http://www.oldklein.com/history/evolution

“Seat tube and quick release
The diameter and portion of the seat tube that sticks up past the top tube changed several times over the years.

The 1990 Attitude has a seat tube that accepts a 27.2mm seatpost and has a 2 1/4" section of seat tube showing above the top tube. The 1993 Gator Attitude I have has the same size seat tube as the 1990 Attitude, but it only has 1 1/2" of seat tube above the top tube. The 1993 Attitude and the 1996 both have seat tubes that accept a 31.6mm seat tube and have 1 1/2" of seat tube showing. The difference in seat tube diameter vs. the Moonrise caught me by surprise when I received the Gator Attitude since I thought all 1993 models made the switch to 31.6mm, and they DID, but Klein sometimes had a habit of making these changes over the course of the model year vs. right at the beginning.
