Re: Ibis MT Trials

More history/details:

Filet brazed seat stay junction.

Ibis bronze head badge.

This bike was sandblasted and powder coated back in 2005.

Ibis serial number 423 (this is from the man who did the original restoration as I cannot find the numbers under the powder coat)). I won’t mention any names for privacy issues, but I am pretty sure he a part of this community.

Super rare period correct Scott Pedersen U Brakes from 1988!

Check out the shimano horizontal road dropouts. Not sure why this didn’t make it to the later models, but they help the with the short chain stays giving the rider the option to move from 15” to 15.75”. Mr. Nicol was thinking way ahead of his time on this one.

Here are a couple of interesting links to mombat MT trials.

Lots of pedigree and this one was one of the first ones made.

I had an inquiry on the size. Ibis only made them in small and large. The small is basically a small/medium and the large is more like large extra large. I am 5’8” and it fits like a glove.

Re: Ibis MT Trials - trade or possibly sell.

Ok, I need to clear up some space for a new build. I just listed this on feebay. If any of you fine gents (or lady’s) want it I would go $1,500 plus ship. I really want this bike to go to someone who appreciates it.
Cheers and happy Holidays,
Andrew
