Right.... as usual I'm in two minds - but particularly in this case because all the bikes I currently own this is actually the one that sees the most trail time... It's nothing particularly fancy, and the build is a bit of a jumble, but this is a good riding steed with a few nice bits for what it is. Reason for sale is an upcoming house move combined with the usual itchy feet desire to buy something else. If it doesn't sell in the next few weeks (pre move) then I'll probably have a rethink (and/or strip it for parts).

The bike as a whole is a little scruffy (and currently slightly muddy), but it's very straight and sound, and rides great. When I bought it I fitted a new chain and cassette, so no worries there. Tyres are decent as well. Chainset is also an upgrade - it's a relatively rare 5 arm LX one. The rest of the drivetrain is STX and it's currently fitted with period non-correct 7 speed Deore shifters which makes it very nice and retro flavoured. I think the bike is actually a 1999.

Comes with the Kona stem in the close up shots, not the Tioga one in the earlier picture. It could probably do with a slightly longer stem - currently it's a bit of a wheelie machine although it's a nice comfortable upright riding position which is ideal for relaxed bimbles through the woods. Nice long steerer on the manitous, although you could cut it down obviously.

Flite saddle (or crud guards) will not be included - but if anyone wants it I'll fit another saddle so that it's good to go.
