Good job u did poke at it. You don’t want to find out the hard way that the steel is corroded right through....

I had a Prestige that succumbed to tin worm but Orange replaced it with a spangly purple P7 at cost under the O-rangers scheme.....bingo! I wonder if it's still being ridden now.....

If not, how long is the steerer on the forks? I am interested if 200mm or more

Not long enough for you. Have decided to keep the forks. Frame (and seatpost) still available.
