Re:

Don’t split them

Problem is that it’s a bit rich for a Marin version and the Pine was the lower of the 2. For contrast I bought a Manitou FS with Fork, King headset, Manitou stem, seatpost, chainguide and XTR front mech (bespoke) for £250....

Yours has no extras and the suspension needs a full overhaul....

Re:

Sounds like you got a Cracking deal Boxxer.

I like this Pine Mountain FRS, think they did a Nail Trail FRS too?

They did 3, Nail, Pine and Team all from 93, same trim levels as the hardtails

I think all Marin were 1 1/8 from 93 onwards and if it’s a 4 bolt M1 crown I suspect it’s cracked due to the sharp corners....

Gents, thanks for your insightful comments.
You’re right, it’s a 1 1/8” steerer and has no cracks. I bought it on the premise to restore but other projects have since overtaken this.
I’m asking £300 ono as a starting point so would be happy to take sensible offers. These frames are quite rare if they haven’t suffered the infamous cracking.

Ps. I’m not profiteering from this sale but more trying to recover my initial outlay.
Best regards....

If Tim is interested in the M1 I'll defer. Thought it was a 1" steerer vs 1 1/8" so I don't really want to try to find a suitable crown and steerer to swap this one out.
