1989 Saracen Trekker double U brake *SOLD*

Hi all. Here I have for sale a 1989 Saracen Trekker with the all important double U-brake set up. It's a 20" frame and comes with pretty much full Shimano Deore groupset (Levers are XT, hubs not Deore from memory but Shimano). I have not cleaned it up since I got it but it seems to be in very decent condition under the grime. Most of the original parts are still present including the Saracen branded stem and bar + desirable all black Deore crankset. All parts work well with only the hubs being a bit crunchy.

The reason for sale is that I had planned to strip this and use the groupset for my mint Trekker frame but the chap I got it from seemed sad to see it go and told me about riding it around the Netherlands in the 90's and how much he'd enjoyed the bike. He was only selling as the family was down sizing. This stuck with me and I can't shake the feeling that it would be a real shame to split it so I will offer it out at the price I paid which was £59 iir. Happy to post to the UK but that will be extra as I'd like to get my money back.

Thanks mate. Yeah it is but it's what I paid and I hope it will go on to give the new owner as much pleasure as it did the original. I also hope the buyer doesn't strip and flip! :facepalm:

Strip and flip would Be a pity. I got my frameset cheap pre stripped and flipped. Not even a headset. Already spent over this price and it still needs paint.
