Hi all,

up for sale a lovely red powdercoated Dawes Escape, handmade in GB from Reynolds 531 tubes. Original forks, smooth 68x122,5 UN51 BB, alu seatpost & Ritchey headset are included in the sale. Built once, never ridden, a few storage scratches & marks here and there, some paintloss on the seatpost binder collar. No dents, deformities, dings or cracks, built to last well beyond the XX. century back then  .

1" headtube,130 mm rear dropout width. Too big for my midget body-very comfy for anyone from 6 feet height for touring/commuting.

120 GBP posted to your door or offers if you find it too dear (oh dear)!
Now 90 GBP posted!

Re: Dawes Reynolds 531 frameset 21"

Commando dog?

Nice large frame. Any idea what it was/is?

Re: Dawes Reynolds 531 frameset 21"

Hi THM,

Yeah, it's a sheperd dog breed by trade, called in Hungarian as PULI, but this example does not takes commands (at least by me) too seriously as it seems and is also very curious/playful ;) .

The bike said "Dawes Escape", and "Reynolds 531" on the tubes before the resurrection, it had a lousy/cool (choose one) pink/lightgreen paint scheme on it, a bit too much for my liking admittedly and badly worn too, hence the respray.

About 22" size, with a relatively short top tube (56 cm c-c). Respray cost me 50 GBP, so it's gonna be one of those "one for the karma" sellings
