For sale:
Hardisty frame
Classic colour scheme
Cool internal seat clamp (bolt supplied)
Rear facing dropouts (130mm spaced)
Original paint has seen better days and areas have been touched up (especially black chain stay areas) but this has stopped rust and is passable from a few feet)
Had a Mavic B.B. installed, so has champhered edge, but the threads have been checked/chased through and I’m told are Ok. There was a Mavic crank installed so I don’t believe the B.B. was related to thread issues.
Some bar swings, minor dents/dings on top tube.
1” headtube 93mm
18” c-t seat tube
21.5” c-c top tube
Previously discussed on another thread, will add the links later, and there were some little brown areas around some of the TIG welds on chainstay and seatstay bridge. I’ve looked carefully and my opinion is these are not related to cracks, just some thinner areas of paint and discolouration (see also front mech clamp area).
Anyway, buyer should be aware.
What to ask for a fairly unusual frame .... £125 posted?
Cheers
Mat

Bargain for such a cool rare frame !!!!! Wish it was bigger

Re: Hardisty Cycles MTB Columbus Frame

Fully agree, I bet this is a flyer too when built. Looks fast even upside down!

Re: Hardisty Cycles MTB Columbus Frame

What a superb frame, arguably worth more than the asking! If I had any money I wouldn't hesitate!

Re: Hardisty Cycles MTB Columbus Frame

Bought and paid for. Now need to figure out the build. Mat believes it to be from 91 or 92 and the 130mm rear spacing would seem to back that up so I guess the default choice would be XT 7 speed. I have some super light 1” ritchey / Tange forks, and some RC30’s. If I went with the latter, I’d probably be forced to do a best of British build with circa 94 hope ti hubs, middleburn cranks and x-lite ti bars. Any thoughts?
