Dear peeps,

so with a heavy heart this one is destined to go to a new owner. Wanted to do a full resto' on it, but time/money/energy are in short supply recently.

Marin Pine Mountain, 1993, 19" frame, 49 cm seattube c-c, 58 cm top tube c-c.

Frame is safe & sound, no problems, paint defects on top tube and on the sides, cable rub, as expected on a soon-to-be-25 years old bike. Bike can be used as is with patina or a very good starting base for a no-holds-barred restoration madness

Rockstar forks' weight is about 780 gr.
so the factory "750gr" claim isn't far off, I think.

Maybe the paint can be salvable, chips are repainted by previous owner, if not too nicely but to prevent corrosion effectively

Generally nice condition, bike was totally stripped, fully refurbished mechanically. Broken orig. seatpost & perished grips are replaced, chain is new HG40 as the cassette was mint, as is the chainset too. UN71 bottom bracket. Refurbished DX pedals. original pedals are included, purple paint?/anodising is very awful though

Marin tires are long gone, the skinwall 2.1 Ritchey Z-Maxes are a bit dry, but almost period correct, about 23 years old.
Rear alu nipples were changed to brass during sometime the last twentysomething years. Rims run true, hubs are working smooth.

The cables were rusted/damaged, so I removed them. As pictured, the bike weighs 11.0 kg, not too bad considering the heavy pedals/skewers/grips/cassette etc.

Price: 400 GBP or offers

Very reluctant sale, as it's my size and soooo nice just to look at it knowing it from inside out already

Any questions, ask it here or via pm please, thanks!

Cheers,
Endre
