it turns on, but doesn't like too let me use my volume control, and the mic part of the EQ affects letting the speakers work properly, and and i don't know for sure that both speaker cable things work...

hmmm. 80's fun but it would be cheaper to buy another amp or receiver.

the old unit works on sort of a combi plug, the new one on a regular plug, you plug the full system into the new base unit, and nothing will work at all. it all turns on, but no noise

Did you go for those 751's Mr Cheese? I forgot to bid on the similar driver units - they went for £8.50 plus 10 post
