Have you replaced a screen before on laptop they arent the easiest of things to do so might be better getting someone local to do it for you if not

check out the following

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0257533033

i did have a spare dell screen other week would have done it but unfortunatly for you, i fitted it to a laptop recently although i am still waiting payment on it so if i dont see it in a few days i might be tempted to remove and sell

Unless you can get a screen cheap (and 100+ quid is not cheap but a realistic new price) I would not bother and just treat yourself to a new laptop. You can easily get something similar to yours for about the same as the screen.

I've been splitting them apart for a long time, replacing the screens are not to hard if you are practical, Dell give you the instuctions on their websites.

You may be better off finding a spare or repairs for cheaper than the price of the screen. You then have some added extra's

EDIT keep it and hook it up to an external screen or use as a media server to a TV, you don't need the internal screen for that.
