Does it HAVE to be an iPad mini? There are a good selection of brand new, better spec'd Android tablets out there for the same money as a used iPad (or less). The new Nexus 7 or Galaxy Tab springs to mind...
I'm guessing that you know this and there is a good reason why you're sticking to Apple!

its for the Mrs really - and the kids. so something that they are already familiar with (the mrs and the kids currently use the iPhone).
i know the androids are better spec, but just something about the usability of the ipads that makes it more appeaking for me to get....
i've given up comparing - i just want it to work well and have cellular capability incase we jack in our internet provider.

Absolutely nothing to fault....I love it , and originally got a mini as I run to work and back each day....but now find text getting difficult to read!....getting old!!
