My old workhorse Pentium 4 PC needs more ram. Its starting to crawl big time in phtoshop and Im noticing it compared with my "fast as duck" work one.

Now - its a Pentium 4 2.5 gig. Well old but it works well still. Its currently got 2 DIMMS ocupied out of three so i guess if I remember correcty it needs pairs.

Anyone out there with a spare 2 gig (in 2 x 1 gig DIMMS) I can whack in for some money?

Don't guess.
Take off the PC Case, look at the motherboard - it will have the manufacturer & a product code on it somewhere. (assuming you don't have the manual for the MB somewhere).

If you can get those, key it in to google as the manual will probably be downloadable from the manufacturers website - and it will tell you what memory spec you need.

...or, Take out one of the Dimms and have a look. It'll be stamped up

...or, take a look in your bios. Depending on the bios it will tell you the RAM spec.

also if its 2100 you after they hard to get goto crucial for it as they have them in more than anyone else i found

Got it.

I need the following:

2 x 1 gig PC2100 or PC1600 DDR SDRAM for Abit IT7 motherboard Pentium 4.

Been on ebay and prices seem sporadic. Any one help?
