These are not on offer or anything (£7.99 is the usual price), but I bought these 8" cable cutters recently and have found them to be perfect for cutting cable inner and outer with absolutely no trouble and a nice clean finish (some of the reviews are from people who have bought them for the same purpose and they have also been very positive, which is why I went for them). Most cutters sold specifically for bike cables seem to be at least double the price, and most more than that again. So I would say a bargain compared to some of the alternatives!

these are also pretty good apart from the red bits needing glueing on to the handles a bit better! Have cut inner and and outer and there is a little doobry for clearing the nylon from the inner hole before you push the cable through. Obviously, not going to last...

Thanks for that. I need some for my current build, cutting outer with standard wire cutters is not ideal.

That's cheap. I've found them great for the outer cables but they are denting a little with the thicker inner brake cable.

These are ment for copper wire....they even cut the wraped armour wire ok but stainless inners will dent the cutting edge :(

Looks like the price drop might be because it's out of stock (discontinued?), at least every store near me is. Shame, I would have bought a couple more!
