most BMX brakes are pretty crap to be fair. Where the MX levers the ones with the little buttons on to lock the wheel in place? No chance :lol:

I had some Dia compe and they were very good , with some Skyway pads , to go with the wheels .

Dia Compe MX-1000's are pretty good for OS bikes, they're the items to have on your old school ride

all they needed were a bit of time setting up properly, any good bike shop with a mechanic from yesteryear can do em properly. rode a mt racing fox factor team the other day with mx1000 and tech 3 levers and they were phenomenal, almost as good as my hope minis!, really good modulation, plenty of power to lock the wheels, and that elusive wooden feel. very impressive. oh, vans brake shoes, and alloy rims. will post a foto if i can get one.
