ERTO 590 nobbly tyres?

No idea where to post this, so going for "Off Topic"

My young kids ride cycle speedway (got hard kids me :D ) and we recently picked up an Archie Wilkinson single speed in need of a bit of love - the wheels seem pretty decent but tyres less so

Standard wheel size is the wonderfully archaic 26 x 1 3/8" - NOT MTB 26", so I am wondering if anyone has come across any decent tyres in 590 diameter (as opposed to 559). Google / ebay and asking around has found plenty of roadster tyres, even some very pretty white walls but flat out on a cinder track they will only get you to hospital, not the winning line

Have you tried one of the bmx forums. Rad or burnerworld. If memory serves then there were a couple of 26" cruisers that ran 1 1/8. Not many mind and they are rare but old school bmx guys collect anything related so that's were I'd start.

Given that speedway bikes are brakeless (if I recall correctly) you could fit 650b/27.5 rims that are ETRTO 584 and have the *best* selection of knobblies.
