Mongoose Pro-Lite how to remove black layer of chrome???

Hi guys

im debating whether to get my Pro Lite re-chromed etc but wanted to see what it was like under the cracked black chrome outer layer but I have no idea how to remove this!!!!

Any tips etc on removing it?

Got pic's to see what the stuff is like ? might be superchrome or a smoked chrome

Sorry guys got my Pro Lite and Pro class mixed up.... I used very fine wet and dry and then polished it good result I think........
