Today I stripped the bike down to the bare frame ready for its powder coating. Well that is untill I tried to remove the Bottom Bracket, the axel has hexaganol ends instead of square taper with the non drive side needing a 32mm spanner. Do I need a special tool to remove the bearings?

Before removing everything I "fixed" the U brakes which are twinned with some V brake levers, despite my best efforts they were pretty rubbish at stopping me. Should I be fitting canti levers could someone tell me please?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Thanks and welcome Snapper. The BB was easy to remove once I had a go. Others have told me off line that I had the wrong levers so I've bought some new ones and as the frame is back from the powder coaters the rebuild starts on Monday. Hope to post some pics soon. Thanks again for your offer of help. :)

warning # place teflon washers on wheel axles inner and outer frames contact as NOT to damage new frame with bolt works
