Be warned though, just because it's new old stock it doesn't mean it's in mint condition!

It could have been kicked around a warehouse for 20 years and used as a door wedge but it's still 'NOS'!

Ah ha - with ya.
You know what though, seeing all these pics of how it used to be and also the fact that the parts are still out there, makes me wonder if I should keep it and do it up to its former glory - cant cost that much to do surley?
Seems a shame to loose a vintage (if you could call a '84 a vintage):)

dude, all you need to do is a clean it up....a little fine wire wool on the rusty bits on the chrome and then polish it and all will be sweet.

Take it all apart, clean/polish/re-grease and rebuild - job done.

The wire wool thing is working a treat on my Supergoose which I dug out of the shed. I'm using car wax with it though so that it doesn't scratch it. Shine's and cleans in one 8)

it won't damage chrome, just stick to a medium coarseness and you will be fine - I've used it on loads of frames.
