I'm retired from BMX - But here is my old Standard STA

Dirt Disciple
Was originally bought as a frame kit (F&F, bars, seatpost, stem). Like many Standard owners, I swear by it, best BMX frame EVER!!!

nice, do u still have it?

i bought a brand new 1in mk1 sta in 1994, cost me £500 for frame & fork

I no longer have the Standard...and thats a nice collection of bikes you've got there, I've owned every single one of them at some point or another - in fact, at one time I had 2 dirt bikes, 2 holmes, and 2 challengers (S&M's race frame) all at once.

I had the same year Holmes as you, only mine had red anodized bits to match the red decals, it was sick, I also had the first year GT Fueler w/ the red/black decals.

I Love GT Fuelers, thats my second favorite BMX frame, right below the Standard.

cool, i actually had the first gt fueler too (1994) i swapped my 1 month old s&m heavy as **** for it

the 95 fueler is exactly the same as the 94, a few very minor changes were made in 96

yep standard frame`s weren`t cheap back in the day but built to last

Nope they wernt cheap, I paid nearly 500.00$ new for my Standard frame kit...and yes, they last, my frame has been back and forth between me and my ex-best bro a couple times (I bought new [I ride it a while] - friend buys it from me, I buy it back [I ride it some more], I sell it again back to friend - he now has it), and both of us have beat the living crap out of that frame and its just refuses to bend, brake, or crack...the frame JUST WONT DIE!!!

That's a lovely STA. Always liked these as they were run by my fave rider BITD, Groundchuck and he went big!

Always rated Standard and even now I think they're better than a lot of the new boys out there and they're uber light, flaky products.

I've got a 97 Mk1 Trailboss in the workshop awaiting some period correct parts....can't wait to set it up and get it down the trails!
