If I were putting together a Cruiser class frame in 1980, and wanted a cool headset in black, what would I be looking for?

The headset on there now is an era correct Tioga. I want to find one in black though. The stem is a Toughneck and i am quite happy with it. This is a 1979/80 Champion Cruiser that was converted to a mountainbike about 30 years ago.

The levers are actually motorcycle levers as were used by early MTB's.
Too tall to ever comfortably ride this bike.
It will be put together as good as I can to the era.

Hi sorry to jump on the bandwagon but i am currently rebuilding an old diamondback bmx and the headset has exploded the lower race,it looks just like the tange mx3 in the link but all silver, are these a special size because it dosent seem to be 1" road bike size.
and i haven't worked on any old school bmx bikes before.

and where do i get a complete one or parts from ?

cheers
Darren
