Right can't afford new/nos DC tech III's with the price's they are at the mo - so i'm having to restore my old sets

find a old tech 3

de-anno it with a bit of oven pride

smooth out the rough edges and bits with a polishing mop/bench grinder
polish off with peek for a sweet smooth finish

Been keeping my eyes open for a bench grinder (ebay and freecycle mostly).. even more so now!!....

haha, i still have a dia-compe lever for my super tuff, another thing to add to the list of things to polish

for the de-anodising bit i find that caustic soda gets her done quicker! (its also cheaper) but i suppose oven pride is pretty much watered down caustic soda in spray on form...

Anyway be careful with that stuff one time i managed to get myself some nice chemical burns trying to unblock a drain which someone had thrown the stuff down trying to unblock it and forgotten to mention to me.
