Hi, hope this helps - ds 7 is the factory code more than likely not US (Santa Ana - Huntingdon) but made but overseas (far east).
04 - month of April.
82 - the year of 1982.
520 - is the number of said model frames made that year.
= ds 70482520
Please dont take this as absolute i could be mistaken. Try looking on BMX museum (US site) theres loads of GT lovers and loads of info. Also try looking on the back of the brake calipers for a number such as 82 that would indicate the year calipers were made giving a rough guide - give or take a year.
