Guesstimate: 2000. But info is a bit scarce - You're better off asking a French person.

Er... this will be your actual bike, no? Listed by the seller as 1999.

In which case, ignore all of the following

The earlier BMiXs (yellow, red?, dark blue, chrome) had a matching unicrown fork; the later ones (seen them in yellow, red, blue and black) had a matching segmented fork, like yours.

But yours has red frame and yellow fork together, so....?

AFAIK, the last bike with the unicrown fork was the chrome one in 1999;
They also made some weird, box-section aluminium BMXs (20" and 24") that used the segmented fork. Not sure if these were sold in the same years as the BMiX, or if they came later.

The dates listed on BMX Museum are USUALLY quite accurate, but you can see there are 3 different versions claimed for 1999:

1999: Chrome BMiX with unicrown fork.

1999: Yellow BMiX with segmented fork.

1999: Yours, in red.

2001: Yellow box-section aluminium thing with segmented BMiX fork.

I would guess that the BMiX with segmemted fork was introduced in 1999 & was sold alongside the box-section frame for a few years. Alu thing in 20" and 24"; BMiX in 26". Same fork. Various colors, blah blah...

Hope that helps - It's early morning here, bright daylight & I'm bored .
Waiting for the rest of the world to wake up, so we can go for a ride

Thats not my bike that you have linked, or at least its not the guy that sold it me.

99/2000 probably sounds about right but i figured some one on here might be able to fine tune it a bit.

I guess the frame and fork could have been bought at different times and put together by some one.

regardless, i love it, been wanting one for years.

cheers for the help

I'd bet you a beer it IS your bike.
Saint cranks; yellow mis-matched fork; red stem top cap and grips?
I bet it even has black DMR wonder-cup adapters in the U.S. bottom bracket shell...?

Congrats on finding it. I also wanted one for years. I would be very envious of you, but I lucked out last week and found a disc braked Kona cruiser.

So I finally have a small-red-holigan bike of my own. It's totally wrecked compared to your BMiX, tho, so it'll take a lot of work before it's rideable.

Hope the BMiX brings a grin to your face >

actually yeah, you could well be right there. seems its gone from the guy in your pics to the guy in my pics to me.

I only got frame and forks so it has a different build on it now but i've kept it fairly simple so it was an easy afternoon to get it ridable. it is lots of fun, i can see me spending most of summer throwing it around the local BMX track

I just found a couple of pics on my HD that might gie you some build inspiration. Same year as yours, with the standard, red fork.
Found it somewhere on Flickr a while back.

And the 24 cruiser version of the yellow box-section race frame with the double top-tube & segmented fork. I don't THINK these were called BMiXs. Not sure of any overlap in production years between this and the "normal" frame.

Not so keen on the yellow, but the red one with the road tires just screams "HOOLIGAN". It's begging to be thrashed through a busy shopping center on the back wheel, chased by rent-a-cops.

I play bike polo and a few of the guys have said the bmix would make a cool polo bike. the red one above just looks perfect for that. mine will be staying a jump bike.

Sunn BMIX

I have a BMIX in red (red forkx)
I bought it discounted in 2000 and I'm pretty sure its a 1999.
I have the manual somewhere so will check the date in that once i've moved house.
I'll probably be selling mine in the next few months actually.
