Thinking it might be possible to put on a Retrobike road ride next year. Probably encouraging road riders, hybrid riders and commuter bikes to join in with several ride leaders taking differing ability/bike groups on various routes with common meeting points for lunch and beer.

If this is something that might interest you or people you know please post up here so I can gauge interest. Venue and date is TBA so your feedback would be most welcome on this.

Ride

I would be up for it.
Best time of year for me is spring/early summer.
Not wanting to go further south than say....north midlands area, as I am right at the very top of the mainland near JoG.
Maybe lake district or so.
Let the majority decide and I will see what I can do.
It does sound like a great idea.

Interested. May I suggest the following kind of groups:

1. 20 miles at 14 mph
2. 40 miles at 16 mph
3. 60 miles at 18 mph

Prizes for:

Best retro outfit
Oldest bike
Best looking bike

How about Northern and Southern events?

count me in, I have a Norman to ride:

and who knows what will turn up between now and next year...

If I could think of a way to sort out the Alan's fork crown/steerer unbonding issues I could bring that. If not it would be the Kowall. Interested though!

Seems to be a reasonable degree of interest. Have we any more suggestions on venues, I have thinking of the flats of the Cheshire plains, but that might be just my northern bias coming through.
