Peugeot Equipe

Spotted one of these in my size but have little info on it. Anyone with any knowledge would be appreciated. The bike seems to have been flat bar converted or may be that way from the start and is red in colour. No idea of age but its a 12 speed.

Cheers

Getting to 12 speeds, One would think 1980s.

"Looked very much like this. A Peugeot Equipe racer that cost £109.99 from Halfords in August 1983. The price was burned into my brain by a whole years worth of delivering the free paper and thinking about this bike."

A nice looking bicycle. "12 gears."

Lots on the web about Peugeots, I believe in fact, at least 2 dedicated websites on the topic. Retro Peugeots and another one, maybe more.

Thanks for that, I have a hankering for a Peugeot roadbike, they were the only real alternative for a Raleigh in my youth in the less expensive pricerange. Other brands existed of course but in the pre internet days you only knew about what your local bike shop stocked.

Not a real big deal; not very good photos but a Pink Peugeot! I looked at the different forums and decided, this wasn't a bad spot to keep up the Peugeot topic.

I don't know why the wheels look that way too, must be something about the pink getting all over the picture, the rims look pink. Kind of a unique bicycle. The photo looks like it was taken at sunrise/sunset. Also appears the bike is against a trash bin. Kind of poor taste! Anywhere but next to a trash bin.
