Are you sure about that????.....Rapidfire hadn't even hit the MTB market yet.
We were all still sporting top mounts in 1990 weren't we? I think Tomac was running a Dura Ace aero brake lever on his drop bar bike maybe. Seems to me that 1992...Maybe 93 was the start of STI road shifters. This site says DA STI was introduced in 1992....1993 for 600 Ultegra
