Right, 98% finished:

Miche hubs with Mavic 28" rims Michelin World Tour tyres

Suntour bar-end shifters, Superbe mechs

Sugino GT 110bcd chainset (Ideal for new 'compact' rings!)

Norman Fay built 531 DB frame forks with seized Campagnolo seatpost.

Campagnolo Record headset

Mafac Frogglegs

Weinmann perished hood levers

Cinelli bars/ stem

Brooks Professional saddle

Ideas for decals welcome!

Brilliant ride, good long distance comfy bike that can also go at high speed when rider able (20 miles to the sandwich).

That is so classy and understated...maybe a headbadge is all it needs.

I also like that Brooks leather bar tape - that with some Marsas or just normal tape underneath? It would set the saddle off neatly.

nice beast. Set up looks good.
Whats the deal with the "weinmann perished hoods"? Look ok from the photo, but if they're the let down, can you not replace?

edit ... generous of you to let the estate agent hang his add from the saddle

Balls! I want one.

The past 2 days I have been taking my Roberts (with my slicked out wheels from my RC100) on the train with me to paddington then cycling the 10k accross the city to my office. Gets really quite annoying not being able to roll as nicely as all the chaps with bigger wheels.

Really may have to look into a propper road bike :0

Any chance you could dig me out a nice one next time your down the dump?
