Hi all,

Have come across a beautiful looking Cannondale Caad 2 66cm frame with both curved top & seat tube. Has a mixture of mid quality Shimano / Campag. Seller asking £300

Any thoughts on price?

Cheers

Hi all... I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea how much my Chas Roberts "low profile" track frame is worth? It's a 23 inch frame and uses a 26 inch front wheel, and has a Campag BB and Shimano 600 headset. There's a few dinks in the paintwork, and a small dent underneath the top tube, but in good condition otherwise. If I remember rightly, it was made from Columbus tubing, and the tubes go from oval to round across it's length. I used to ride 753, so I have no idea what the Columbus tubing was called. And it has a lovely back end....

I last rode it at the 1990 National Track Champs in Leicester, and am wondering weather to sell it or convert it to a fixie.

Thanks.

I have no idea what it is worth, but that is one of the coolest frames I've ever seen.

As far as use goes, if you don't put it together as a fixie, chances are someone else will.

Regarding tubing, if you ring Chas (or Brian) with the frame number, they can tell you a little bit more, although their records are usually pretty brief.

Thanks for the info there Neil - I'll get in touch with Chas Roberts as there's a number under the BB.

It was a strange bike - somebody bought it for me, and it turned up at my house, just to go and ride the national pursuit on. But I was a time trialler at heart, and only rode the track for fun. But the frame always grabbed attention, and still does today. :)

The only "good" pic of me on it (all the others are blurred.... *too fast* haha!)

Cool pic, although you appear to have a white tortoise on your head

You could always build it up for TT.

Good luck with it, whatever you decide, it's a stunner.

Hello

Commited to buy a Eddy Merckx Domo-Farm Frites replica from approx 2002. It has full Daytona (Seatpost and hubs too) and is almost like new. I've been soul searching as I was only after the group set and not an entire bike. The bike is stunning and in good shape. I may keep after having a few rides. If I decide to get rid of frame what do you think it's worth? Is it worth a lot more complete? It's got the orginal purchasers name painted (from the factory) on the frame too.

Thanks

Thanks for the comments guys :) I've still got that helmet - offers about as much protection as a crisp packet!

I'll have a look at LFGSS site too.

Thanks again.
