Very sound advice from BikeNut there, just what I'd suggest but he put it so much more eloquently.

For sending the bike I always use Yodel via www.p4d.co.uk which costs about £17 now I think (gone up recently).

Thing with offering free postage is that your bike may get overlooked as bikes listed as free postage sometimes mean that the buyer will not post i.e collection only. If it's not overlooked then great.

Remember to take into account that eBay will take 10% fee (not from postage costs) and PayPal a further 4% on the final sale price. I normally advertise my bikes elsewhere for 10% less i.e here.

Road bike Grandis (Italy), mid 70s, full Campagnolo, Mavic rims. My grandad lost the original hadlebar and saddle, a shame!

Possible value?

£500'ish but you're gonna need to replace the bars, levers, saddle and post to realise it. As it stands probably about £300 - £350.

Hey there! one of my first posts, trying to get an opinion from someone who can't take it out from under me if it's a good deal :P I'm located in Canada.

Seller is asking 1500 USD + shipping as it stands. Comes with original threaded fork and the frame and the included Easton fork are painted a darker gun metal grey with redone KHS decals. Is this a fair price? I'm thinking it's over priced, but that's just me.

1998 KHS Aero Comp - True Temper Tubing
Easton aero fork full carbon
chris king headset
Thomson seatpost
3t stem
3t ergosum bars
selle italia gel flow
ultegra 6700 group
dura ace 7900 cranks
mavic aksiums in silver

How much do you guys reckon a Raleigh 853 frame in good condition is worth?

Hi all
I've got this unknown vintage touring bike and curious how much it's worth. No clue about bikes but a friend told me it has these specs:

56 x 56 cm steel lugged frame with Nervex lugs.
Cinelli handlebars and Cinelli 1a stem (require re taping)
Shimano 600 levers
Mavic rims on unknown hubs
Campagnolo dt shifters
Campagnolo rear mech, Suntour front (missing the bolt that holds the end of the arms together but can be replaced).
Silstar cranks
Turbo saddle
Dia-compe 500 brakes.
Frame number reads: "Nervex", "59 3064 022 E38" (or perhaps E36, hard to read), "5545"

what do you think?
Cheers

I'm always tempted by bikes like this! the frame set has a lot of potential; nice Nervex decorative lugs and wrapover seat stays.
Obvious poorly repainted so what lies beneath? has the rear mech hanger been broken at some stage and an external hanger fitted or was it a single speed?
I'd like to think someone would pay 100 quid for it then spend 3 times that on a decent paint job, a nice group set and a Brooks :)
