I was given a Peugeot vintage fixie ....
Thanks

Is it a proper fixie or has it the original wheels with a fixed sprocket? I can see that the frame is a road frame.

It's not a high end model and Peugeots of that calibre are riddled with odd sizes and French threads but they are quite popular. If it was repaired then I'd estimate the value to be about £150. Due to it being old, in nice condition and being a Peugeot, the Brooks is a nice touch.

I have this in BOTM

No idea how to value it, EX Olympic champ Vanni Pettenella's own frameshop, Milan boutique bike business after he retired from racing, all original groupset, Ofmega, rare uber light Gian Robert rear mech ( front available also...) Mavic wheels etc etc. I replaced the Universal levers that were a bit worn with shagged hoods with NOS...that's it.

Lovely sprung ride, light too, i'd pit it again my 'Nago Super with SL easily.

BOTM eh? Yeah I saw that. Well good luck with that y'know you're up against my shopper don't you!? Perhaps it'll be worth with drawing it this month and putting it in next month....I don't want you to be disappointed.

Value wise erm :? I'd struggle to give an accurate valuation in all honesty. If you put it up for £700 I wouldn't bat an eyelid but in honesty I have no idea.

I was given a Peugeot vintage fixie conversion as a run around...

Conversions go for £100 - £150.

If the frame is, as you suggest, something special (and it hasn't been butchered) then you would be better off selling it separately: £60-£80?

The Brooks doesn't look to be in great shape (but the photo isn't great): £40.

Is that Brooks leather bar tape? If that's a decent bar/stem set-up (Cinelli/3T/ITM) and something like a Dirty Harry lever: could get £50.

Original wheels: £20 (700c will sell more easily than 27"). Chainset? £10 (unless it is a proper "pista" affair then you could see +£50 easily). Brake: Weinmann single caliper? £5 (on a good day).

Try the LFGSS forum.

PS If the seat post was micro-adjust, rather than bullet nosed, and 24mm or some other obscure size, that would go for £50! Even BN posts in odd sizes can start a fight...

I've just won a Raleigh Ventura and will be looking to sell on the Golden Arrow parts: chainset, front & rear derailleurs and (fingers crossed) downtube shifters.

There's not much on Ebay and most of it is in Europe and the US which tends to distort prices, but the BIN prices are Campag-silly.

Looking on here, the prices are at the other extreme.

Can anyone throw any light on the matter?

Many thanks.

PS I assume the headset and bottom bracket will be Raleigh threads, am I right?

You can ask what price you want on ebay, doesn't mean anyone will pay it! more realistic is an advanced search of completed listings; that tells you what the ACTUAL sale price of an item was...even then it's no guarantee. you see a colnago full bike for 250 quid, then a frame only for 400.... depends on demand / rarity / model etc.

Anyone know much about this Motorola Jersey as I've not seen another one like this. I'm assuming the original would have been worn by the the US National Champion - Lance Armstrong perhaps?
I've also got the matching bib shorts.
Anyone advise how much both would be worth?

Team jerseys go for around £30, more if they are an "iconic" design or famous team.

Shorts go for quite a bit less as they can only be worn with the jersey and get all the wear.

Somewhere around £50 for the pair if they are a common size.

Not sure what the "Lance-effect" might be...

Thanks for the info Scilly. Can't see the 'Lance-effect' having a positive effect on the price. 8)

I'd be aiming towards £750 - £850'ish. A very fine build indeed.
