I have a pair of 105 8 speed hubs built up on very clean MA40s. I'd say a few hundred miles tops on the rims.

how much should i be asking?

If they're in perfect condition I reckon about £100 + postage.

Bike was bought a few months ago from an older guy who had had it in his shed for god knows how many years. Was custom made in Marlborough back in 87' i think. Shimano 600 groupset.

Looking at selling the bike now as i had initially intended to get a peice of shit for just helping me get around uni. I am fully aware of the prestige of this bike and feel guilty having such a good bike for such menial uses.

The chain recently snapped and needs replacing but other than that the bike is in great condition. Handlebar tape and break pads have been replaced recently. Rides really well and goes like shit off a stick on the descents. Great bike and is easy to tell it was riden by the pro's back in the day.

Any ideas of what it's worth would be greatly appreciated.

Raleigh Team Panasonic lovely retro bikes especially in 531c. Shame yours is looking in need of a major clean and tidy. As it is you could possibly get £250 clean and tidy and you maybe able to double that on a good day.

Actually you would probably be better of splitting the De Rosa frame from the Carbon fork. 1" carbon forks are sought after and you should get about £50 - £70 and I'd still push for £250 for the DeRosa and accept reasonable offers.

Thanks for the help Tel, also for pointing out about the groupset. Was initially told it was Chorus. Thanks.

Always wondered what this might be worth, its a Klein Quantum 93 in Sunrise I believe. Campag Centaur 2008 10 speed group and Ksyrium Elites. Decided not to go the NOS route for components, not sure if that was the right decision in hindsight. Also not 100% sure it's the original paintwork and don't know how to be sure either way. Any ideas??

Paint looks original.

Personally I think the Kleins carry the newer components well. Great wheelset too.

Price wise it's a little out of my area of "expertise" (I use that term loosely!) Kleins fetch good money in original condition and are desirable. I'd estimate it to be worth somewhere in the region of £700 - £800.

Think I'd tone it down with black tape and saddle personally.

Downtube shifters look to be Simplex...Galvanised rims look to be Mavic alloy, be sure to mention that when selling and the model i.e Mavic MA2.

Essentially it's nothing special I'd ask for £100 and settle for £70 or £80.
