Going for £100

Iconic bike. Worth the money in my opinion.

Raleigh Pro-Race
going for £110

Same kind of performance/ spec as above but not as iconic. I'd want this for more like £80 but it is worth the asking price.

Reynolds 531 'Gran Sport' (Unknown make)

Well worth the money. Unidentified bikes are always difficult but the sum of the parts is worth more than the asking price.

Opinions in bold.

Hi,
I am fairly new on here but have been into road bikes since I did some time trials in the late 70's while stilll at school.
Recently got into mountain biking so this project frame might be up for sale.
It is 531 Competition tubing and dates to approx 1990-92.
I am not up to date with prices so how do you all value this please?

Fantastic quality as you would expect from a Dave Russell frame and it has recently been refinished in this silver by Ellis Briggs in Shipley and the decals are from LLoyds but the 531 Competition decals I think are originals. This is definately competition tuber as it was in its original paint when I bought it.
Very short wheelbase with no mudguard stay eyes.

Any advice welcomed.

Thanks
Dean.

I'd say the £150 you're asking for is very reasonable especially with the headset. Personally I would have fitted and pictured it with it. Alternatively sell the frame for £130 and you'd probably get about £30 just for the headset on it's own.

With eBay you have to bare in mind that if you sell it for £150 you still have to pay the 10% commision which makes the sale of your frame just £135.

It's a nice frame btw, I like it.

Anyone got an idea? One way or another it's gonna be for sale on here soon anyway.

Not really. Personally I'd try it on BikeRadar if you have no joy here.

Just a uneducated guess, maybe around 125/150 for the lot
