Hi,

Not a valuation to sell, but I am looking to buy something.

A full bike, generic frame set which has a massive dent in the headtube, so essentially scrap value.

Campagnolo 1990's Athena Front and Rear Mechs with Shifters.
Full similar period Modolo Brakeset with Ergo Levers
Modolo Bars and Stem - not fantastic condition stem to be honest.
I think Campagnolo Athena Chainset with Campag 53/42 rings, but some numpty has painted it black, so it will need stripping and polishing up or somthing.
Ambrosio Gentleman Clinchers on generic hubs, spoke eyelets rusted, but braking surfaces are ok.

Whats it worth to buy for bits for my rebuild? £150 too much or a good price?

Cheers in advance guys.

£150 is ok but I'd try to get it down as close to £100 as I could.

Thanks for the reply Tel, got it for a better price after looking in more detail.

I will be sorting the bits for myself and moving the rest along.

Hi
Looking for ideas on of value on a pair of Campag Super Record Large Flange, 28 hole hubs, laced onto a pair of Mavic Open 4CD, the rear is 2 cross and the front is radial. The hubs are immaculate and run beautifully smooth, the rims have a little wear, these were only ever my best time trial wheels and as such they look like they have only done a few hundred miles.
I also have a pair of 90's chorus small flange hubs, 9/10 speed cassette 36 spokes laced 3x onto Mavic Open 4CD's, again in pretty good nick
Both wheels use stainless double butted spokes.

Any ideas gratefully accepted and then I can decide if they are worth selling?!
Dave

ok, im getting my bike insured and they want to know how much its worth, i said i'd get back to them as i didnt know.
so the bike in question is my Peugeot Perthus Pro, its almost completely standard, think the only differences are it has shimano 105 hubs f+r instead of 600 and the right shifter is 105 too (not sure why, as the left is 600 but cannot find the correct right one for love nor money!!) and it has a brooks saddle though i do still have the original, and finally cinelli criterium handlebars.
everything is period so mid-late 80's and condition wise (bearing in mind its all original) i would say 7.5/10. as it has some light bubbling around the lugs, alot of it came off after a good clean though and the paint is in good condition

heres some pics:

The Peugeot Perthus Pro is a difficult one. In original A1 condition I'd expect it to be about £500'ish maybe £600'ish on a good day as it is with the odd parts and imperfections more like £300 - £350. I'd insure it for £500 minimum although if it was new for old you'd be looking at a bike for circa a grand from todays market.
