Hi. Can anyone tell me how how much a set of mint, 1982, unbuilt 36-hole Mavic Special Service De Course rims might fetch?

They're in demand. Depending on the exact model they'll probably go for over £100 the pair, perhaps considerably more. A pair of 32h in silver fetched $250 on eBay.com recently:

I have a mercian stronglight bike, front mech is Suntour, rear mech campagnolo super record along with I believe the brakes. Frame and forks are Reynolds 753

Here you go:

Mercians are in favour these days. There aren't that many around in 753, and yours looks to be in good condition with original paint. If you were to split it to sell on eBay, you might get £200 for the frame and fork, perhaps £50 for the rear derailleur, the same for the brake levers and the same again for the calipers. If the bars and stem are Cinelli they might fetch another £40 or so.

Thanks for this will get some more photos taken, and put it in the sale section soon.

I'd say £400 - £450 depending upon who is looking but the colours are all over the place, toning it down a little with some plain black tape may help...

Hi folks, I bought a Falcon Team Banana bike a few weeks ago, the fella I bought it off has converted it to a singlespeed. I have used it a few times but find it a bit cramped in the cockpit. Anyways looking at selling but dont know what its really worth! Any ideas guys?

Hi there,

I am thinking of selling my 731OS framed road bike.

The tubeset is pretty rare so hard to value.

It has fully low to mid range campag (does anyone recognise it)

MA2 rims and cinelli bars and stem.

Carbon seatpost and ti saddle.

There is a blot on the landscape tho, a small dent in the down tube.

any help much appreciated.

Roddy. I think the group is Campag Xenon (2nd gen), if not Xenon then certainly a lower end with the painted finish and plastic lever on the Ergo's.

Shame about the dent in the downtube as it will seriously devalue the frame.

Split I reckon you'd get £100 for the frame, £150 for the group (including wheels) and a few quid for everything else. As a whole £200 - £250 imho.

Johnson22. Really don't know but reckon if you put it on Ebay you could get a decent figure for it with some decent shots and sort that rear mudguard out. At a guess, on a good day maybe £300+ (although make sure you take decent pics)

Novo. As I said before about £100.

Any idea on the make? And is that a Constrictor brake? Should be a pair really I suppose
