Hi, whilst having a clear out of my garage (sure I'm not the only one during this lockdown) I've realised I've got frames that I'm never going to get round to build up. One in particular is this sakae litage which was branded as a BH top line. Has anyone got any idea of its worth? Its in fair condition with no dents.

Thanks

All depends on state of frame in general. These are alu bonded and light frames, but quite flexy. The fork is alu too, which OK for some, but perhaps not best combination IMO.

These bikes are not that common anymore, but not super rare either. A Japanese answer to Alan/TVT/Look from early 90s or little earlier.

Needs a very good polish i think to get it back to shinny state it once was. What size is it? You remember what you paid for it perhaps, that would be a good start.

Send me pm, may have someone interested, a long shot but can try.

Thanks for reply foreigner.

You're right it needs a clean up and polish to bring it back up. I honestly can't remember how much I paid although I feel it was part of a multi item trade. Its a 53cm

Nice frame, a bit on a small size though. How tall are you to fit onto this?

Is it really that small? I'm 5.9" and always ride 53cm road frame

Purchased this a couple of weeks ago, mostly out of frustration of not being able to find a Pista that I liked and somewhat out of boredom and intrigue.

When it arrived, the rear wheel needed truing (still does) and I thought the fork had a kink in it, but being honest I am not so sure now. One thing I do know is it's just not for me, have no love for it. So its going up for sale.

I have cleaned it up (its not perfect, but a lot better) removed the repro stickers that had puckered, fitted a saddle that's not broken, so I could try it out and ditched the excess of green.

What do you think its worth ? As I would rather offer it here before going the eBay route.

Here is what I know about it:

56cm between middle of bottom bracket and top of seat tube. 56cm top tube
Zeus drop outs (So I believe it to be a Zeus frame) Various marks on chrome
Zeus Headset
Zeus Bottom Bracket
Zeus Seat Post (Zigzagged)
Zeus front mech (Outer plate slightly nicked)
Dura Ace Brake levers
Shimano 600 Arabesque shifters (Pretty)
Universal Mod 61 Brakes
Stronglight Crank and Rings
Titlist Rear Mech
Nisi Mixer Rims
Ritchey stem & Bars (Black electrical tape bar wrap)

Hola from Southern California.

I picked this bike up from an ex Fat City team rider back in the mid-90’s. It was made in the Massachusetts shop and is finished in Team Violet, with a Campy Record 8-speed drivetrain and Dura-Ace cranks and brakes.

It was in pretty rough shape When I got it, and still shows some scars from its racing past. Primarily in the brake levers, which are not bent but have some road rash. I had new wheels built, added a shorter Salsa stem and Syncros Ti seat-post, and touched up some of the chainstay nicks and scratches. It came with the Speedplay pedals that I have never loved.

I am not interested in selling, but am curious what it might be worth whole or parted out.

Thanks for looking.

Love the Slim Chance above...
Q : I have a set of used Campag C-Record Sheriff Star road hubs, screw on freewheel, no skewers. Reasonable condition, no cracks but need a polish, probably fresh grease. Currently on Mavic clinchers. 36h.
I’ve heard these are more rare than the Pista versions, but also fragile and prone to failure, so unlikely to ride them (also unlikely ever to afford the rest of the groupset, deltas and all!).
Will add pictures- any ideas on value?

I have the opportunity to pick this Mercier. I can't tell which model it is though and there seems to be a lot of debate around identifying these. My main concern is whether the tubing is 531 or lower quality.

Does anyone have any idea on the value or if I should leave it alone?
