The best way with the 2 old Raleighs is to take off all reasoable parts and offer on ebay USA. The rod brake with the bent frame you can take off the head set bottom bracket parts before dumping the frame. The forks may still be straight. You can get surprising money in the US.
The bottom bracket and head bearings are 26 TPI Raleigh special size, and if good are getting rare, also used in Raleigh Carltons. Don't forget the fork crown race, and the "thimbles" in the fork crown.

Hi guys, I bought this bike a while ago now, it was a bit of a monster bike with all bits thrown at it. With a very nice set of campagnolo wheels on it which I use on my retro raleigh road bike.

Can someone please help me identify the frame because the decals do not match a racing bike. It is very light, has ritchey stamped rear dropouts, nice arrow shaped rear brake bridge and a little hanger for a race number near the head tube.

Thanks in advance for your help and a general idea of price. Thx Rich

The Frame number starting with NP2 means a Nottingham built bike (N) from November of the build year denoted by the letter P........they recycled the "2" so it's either 1972 or 1982.

My money is on 1982 given the kit (which isn't that far from the late 70's in your other thread).....

The problem for you is that it's in such good nick......if it was a rusted wreck it's worth almost nothing but for someone who wants a period bike then the price is difficult.

£180 as a stab in the dark?

Shaun
