Help tracing a memory? Woolwich/Cycling magazine/1950s

My Dad grew up in Woolwich, London and his parents were keen cyclists. Apparently they had their tandem extended by Excel Cycling Company by Harry Excel as he was known locally (now Harry Perry cycles) in Woolwich to allow my Dad to ride with them. My Dad reckons this was the first tandem for three (a claim I guess is probably wrong). But apparently someone from Cycling magazine took their picture with it and it appeared in an issue around 1953.

Does this ring a bell(!) with anyone who might have a copy of the magazine from that era? It would be wonderful for my Dad to see the photo (as he has very few pictures of him as a child).

Tandem for 3 = Triplet. Not unknown by any means - but also not common. No idea on the magazine issue - but Otley CC have an archive of all copies of Cycling magazine so a contact with them may bring a result?
