My first instinct was its a Rapide 12 that someone had added some silver/grey paint to on the front, it looks right everywhere except for the top of the rear stays and the seat lug and there I'm with tourqeless in that it just doesn't look right. And its's got no down tube shifter bosses
Unless the shifter bosses have been taken off (hence that area of different colour paint) that sort of rules it out being a Rapide but any chance you can do a couple of close ups of that area and maybe the rear dropouts, rear brake bridge and a few of the lugs and I'll compare it to the 83 Rapide I've got in the garage?
For the record if it is then the dropouts would be Gipiemme, lugs would be Haden Olympic and only the main frame tubes are Butted 531, the rest would be Raleigh High Tensile, the original headset would have been a Tange CMA60 and it would have had Weinmann 500 side pulls so not centre pulls and what are the wheel clearances like for 700's?
