Just purchased a Raleigh Randonneur which is going be my touring machine. ST531 tubing.
It is going for a repaint soon . I am going replace most of the components with bits I already have .Upping it to 8 speed from 7.
The canti fixing bolts are well rusty. If they do not clean up i will replace the whole brake front and rear.
I will be using them with campagnolo ergo lever . What are my best options?
Dia compe 999 seem a good set up and not breaking the bank. All ideas welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I've found with older frames that the rim width can play havoc with brake alignment so need either the original equipment with new pads or something completely different

There are some raleigh branded cantilevers that pop up now and again that are quite useful.

Re:

Thank you for your comments . Apart from the rusty pivot bolts the rest of the canti's are sound.
Ordered some stainless steel pivot bolts for £1.29 including post off the web.
