Better view of the part on the right hand side of the fitting document but id say yes. Lucky you. i bet there quite hard to come by.

I just need to find a half-decent pair of the actual shifters to use it with now!

SORTED

The plastic insert is exactly what was needed to make the later 7 speed D/T shifters work with the 6 speed UG cassette. It shifts perfectly. Result.
