Looking for 1" threaded forks with a minimum 200mm steerer at a reasonable price, I've found some alloy forks from the 90's, look like bonded dropouts and crown. Price is reasonable, but should I be worried about them falling apart on me? Will they be all noodly? Had I better not bother? Anyone any experience of this type of fork?

What are they, Vitus (or similar) ones? No worries about them disbonding to be honest. I think just be sure they aren't the Viscount cast forks which were recalled back in the day. They were late 70s. Any Vitus 979/992/etc will be fine. Can't comment on the Alan or Peugeot ones from that era, but Vitus 979 forks are noticeably more flexible than steel ones from the same era. That does translate to incredibly comfortable riding, however, because they soak up the bumps really effectively!
