Does anyone have any info on the Liyang carbon/aluminium road frames?
When we're they produced?
Any magazine reviews?
Were they raced? Professional or amateur?

I've seen the MTB version, the Carbon Pro (there's one for sale on here at the moment), but my best Googling has come up with nothing on the road bike frame.
Both variants have carbon tubes bonded to aluminium lugs, but the road frame has a monostay rear end whereas the MTB frame is almost like a double wishbone rear end ie. 2 carbon tubes.
Liyang as a company is still operating today, making mainly alloy frames.

My best guess is early to mid-1990's, same as the MTB version...
The one I have looks rather nice, internal routing for the rear brake cable, 1" head tube etc

Sorry, can't help with more information on Liyang, but ...

... that is a very handsome frame!

Have first generation Giant (980C) and Miyata (Carbolite) CF efforts from the same era myself, and like them very much. Modern tech (well, sort of) with classic looks.
