Hi all, I'm running an 8 speed cassette with a campag rear mech and friction downtube shifters.
I'm happy enough with friction but I'm toying with the idea of getting some indexed shifters.
My question is will I need campag shifters?
There are some nicely priced Sunrace shifters on ebay but I'm guessing shimano and campag rear mechs use different cable pull?

Old Campagnolo 8spd cassette spacing will work with Shimano shifting - I had this with my Pennine with its Campagnolo Shamal 8spd wheelset with Shimano 600 shifting.

Shimano 8spd cassette spacing should work with Campagnolo shifting - but I've never tried it so may be talking out of my hat.

Campagnolo 8spd spacing is 5.0mm with Shimano at 4.8mm

Campagnolo has a different cable pull and reach varying over the years when compared to a fairly stable Shimano

So if you have a Shimano rear mech, Campagnolo 8spd cassette and Sunrace shifters, its should work

However, those Sunrace levers are a bit vague when compared to other brands.
