E F Russ oddity

Anyone know what these braze on's are for? On an old E F Russ that has been handed down to me.
It was bought secondhand in the early fifties if that helps.

Ah, forks and seat stays are usually for early style mudguards.?

Are the "bunny" ears between the calipers & forks /seat stays ? do they have hole in them if yes some early calipers were some what "flexy"& had a wire loop fixed to the caliper & through the hole ,on brake application it limited the snatching forward of the calipers some brakes had a right angled fitting that butted against the SS & a loop around the fork blades

Arghh. I used to be able to do this. the image is visible to me? I'll have another go. I am selling it, it was one of two old bikes, and the Russ is waaaay bigger, too big for me.
