Has anyone tried loose ceramic bearings in a BB?

Yes used 3/16 in a campag SR BB with new cups & axle. I couldn't tell any difference to a later sealed SR BB in another bike ,used them in a set of Maillard hubs & could tell a difference there =better, down side they were pricey I have an OMAS BB in another bike & in my opinion it is smoother & runs more freely, & have a Royce in yet another bike & that is superior to the lot
