Sachs 7000 freewheel hub - LF replacement rear axle

Retro Newbie
Hello wise folk,

Looking for help determining a solution to this bent "stepped" axle (QR) removed from a Sachs 7000 rear hub. The LBS told me that they could not source an axle like this. The mechanic tried a normal 10x140 axle but there was too much play with the wheel, he said. I think the situation was that the bearing was sitting over the threads on the new axle, ie the smooth section isn't long enough. I could have misheard that part though.

I took my own measurements. The axle is actually 142mm long, the bearing seat diameter is 10mm and hub section ~11.5m. The lengths of each section in millimetres are:
20 (left thread) > 13 (bearing seat) > 59 > 13 (bearing seat) > 37 (unthreaded/right thread)

If anyone has an old Sachs 7000 they no longer use I would also be interested in just buying a used replacement in good nick.

Let me know if there's any other information needed to put this quandary right. I would ideally be replacing like with like and the current axle is quick release.

Mark
