LL90194 is a C90 made of 753 and originally made for Mike Brown.

Looks great, how's the ride.

Hey Neil - Many thanks for the info!! So it is 753 after all! Great news :) That's a great little piece of history you have there, so lucky it survived. My Concept 90's lovely to ride, very very nimble. It's quick! :D It's been a single speed since the refurb but I've started setting it up to be geared again over the last week or so.

It seems that it was a standard C90 that had all it's braze ons removed by the previous owner, before I won it on eBay. He'd used it as a fixed gear bike. The downtube developed a crack after a while and I had it renovated by Bob Jackson. They explained, for example, that the top tube cable access had been plated over, and so reversed this. I decided not to have downtube braze-ons re-added, nor the one for the front mech on the seat tube. I liked the clean look when running single speed but now I'm kind of wishing I'd had them done - band-ons are a bit of a hassle.

Anyway, it's had quite an interesting history and is now with me here in Finland, via Wales, so the story goes on. It's amazing that you've been able to add to it from the little number book there. Cheers again :)

Your C90 looks great and it is being used exactly the way it should be.

Mine is Deda Zero and can be a bit harsh, I also have a C2000 (made in Paul Donahue's workshop), I think it's 853 and I must get it built up next year. I would love to find a C90 in 653, it is my new favourite tubeset since building up a Rourke made from it.

The register was a real find, I'm just happy to have it and to be able to add a tiny bit of history to each of the bikes on this thread.

Cheers Neil :) The C2000 sounds interesting. Look forward to seeing it built up next year then! I've also got a Graham Weigh in 853 as well as a Ribble in 653. Keep meaning to put them up on here - I will one day! :D

Hope someone here can help - I found this thread today after rescuing what appears to be an almost flawless Dave Lloyd frameset with a campy crankset from the local tip - it was literally in the scrap metal container but once I dragged it out and gave it the once over, it seems to have been very well looked after and has I can only imagine was chucked by someone who had no idea what they were getting rid of. I'd love to know what year it comes from and how to build it back up as its deffo going to be my next project.

I can't find any serial number - the only thing I've found on the BB casing is a stamp with "EO" contained within a diamond.

I've just taken some pics and will attach them once I'm back on a PC as they're too big to attach via phone, but does this EO mark mean anything to anyone ?

What amazing condition that is in.

I'd say mid to late late 70's, which was long before Dave started making his own frames. I have two of his early frames, one that I think comes from around 1975 and one from around 1978, the 78 is fully restored and the 75 will most likely become a run around at some point. The cranks will more than likely have a year of manufacture stamp on them, a quick google will tell you what to look for.

Dave was always big on Campag, so you could look at using age related parts all from them, or more correctly for that age of bike a mix of quality parts from various manufacturers, which is how my 78 'clubman's' Lloyd is set up.

The EO symbol will be the manufacturer of the bottom bracket casting, hopefully one of the knowledge fonts will be along to tell us who made it.

Fantastic find, well done for the rescue job.
