Help identifying a Peugeot

ryanpalomba

Retro Newbie
I tried searching but I'll have to admit I don't know enough about Peugeot bikes to be of much use in identifying on my own.
While donating some bikes I ran across this Peugeot 10 speed and bought it to fix up. My first road bike was a Peugeot and I thought why not fix one up and ride it some.
Anyway any help on the model, year or any other info would greatly appreciated.

Start with the 1977 catalogues. One word of warning: peugeot would often recycle photos so once you think you have a model, have a search around for other sources to confirm

It may be a 1977ish Peugeot PR 10 (if the main frame is 531) or it may be a PA 10 if the frame is Carbolite hi-tensile. Check the seatpost size if no tubing stickers exist. If it is 26.2 or 26.4 mm, then probably 531 and a PR 10. If 25.6 or 25.8 mm then likely a PA 10. The date stamps on the hubs and the decal scheme place it in the late seventies period.
